Las Vegas is big in every sense of the word and it’s home to some of the largest hotels in the world, let alone the USA. Not everyone takes comfort from staying in a large hotel. So, we’ve taken a look at some ‘smaller’ hotels in Las Vegas. It should be noted that smaller in Vegas doesn’t necessarily mean boutique as in other parts of the world, and some are attached to much bigger complexes, but we’ve featured hotels that have less than 1000 rooms either on or off The Strip.
5* NoMad Las Vegas
Centrally located on the Strip, this luxury boutique hotel is located on the top floors of the Park MGM hotel with access to its facilities. The hotel also has its own facilities including Moroccan inspired pool, bar and restaurant.
5* Vdara Hotel & Spa
A few blocks from the Strip, this modern all-suite hotel offers a sanctuary for those seeking a quieter Las Vegas experience. Whilst there’s no casino, there is a focus on relaxation with a large spa along with two dining options and a rooftop pool.
4* The Cromwell
The Strip’s first stand-alone boutique hotel, this adult-only property has less than 200 rooms. It may be small but it packs a punch, where you can party and dine alongside one of the best rooftop pool decks in the city that transforms into a beach club after dark.
3* The D Las Vegas
A good choice if you’re looking to be close to the action but off the Strip. Offering vintage Vegas in a modern style, it’s located downtown and offers everything you need for a Vegas experience including on-site dining options, a pool and a fitness centre.
4* Circa Resort and Casino
Built in 2020, this downtown adult-only hotel is much more akin to the Vegas of old. For a ‘smaller’ hotel (by Vegas standards), there’s no shortage of dining and drinking options, including Stadium Swim with six pools, swim-up bars and huge screens.
5* Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas
Located on the southern end of the Strip, sophistication and quality prevails over quantity at this hotel. It has two pools with cabanas, a spa and an elegant tea lounge on the 23rd floor and a skybar. Rooms have the elegance and luxury you would expect from Waldorf Astoria.
5* Crockfords Las Vegas, LXR Hotels and Resorts
Opened in 2021, this stylish boutique hotel is integrated into the Resorts World complex and offers a chic and personalised service. Access is via an exclusive entrance, but guests can also enjoy access to the resort’s gaming, dining and entertainment offerings.
4* JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa
A small resort hotel set amongst lush gardens with a relaxing atmosphere located about 20 minutes from the Strip and close to golf courses. There are a good number of dining options as well as a large waterfall outdoor pool and spa for relaxing in and a casino.
4* Palms Place Hotel and Spa at the Palms Las Vegas
Located off the Strip, this boutique condo-style property features studios and suites all with kitchenettes. A restaurant, spa and pool are on site as well as access to a free shuttle bus to the Strip. You can also access the facilities at the sister hotel, Palms Casino Resort.
5* Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas
This little gem on the Strip provides an exclusive bolthole that’s close to the action. It has the Four Seasons service you would expect, and facilities although not extensive are elegant and include a spa, pool, and two excellent dining options.
